Favorite medicines: nasalcrom / cromolyn spray for allergies. Effective, efficient, elegant, OTC.

If you have airborne allergies, or know someone who gets them, then you /they should try cromolyn sodium spray (generic) /  Nasalcrom (US brand name).

I'm still surprised at how many people don't know about it

I still have a lot of Flonase, but I don't use it often enough anyway. I may have to go look for the nasalcrom.

I figured out that the new versions of sudafed weren't working well at all when I got a sinus infection last month. Yuck. When picking up my antibiotic, I told the pharmacist I wanted the real sudafed too, and she agreed that the new stuff isn't as effective at all.

Then there are those of us for whom phenylephrine not only does not work as intended, but produces the lovely psychotic brain-squirrels side effect. With insomnia.
