Veil Musings

I just wanted to get these veil musings out.

Since book five I have been very bothered by the Veil. Not necessarily what it is -- I always thought that it was a gateway to the land of the dead was something we could probably assume.

Instead there are two things that bother me:

1. Why was it in an amphitheatre
2. Why didn't Harry obsess over this, like he did

Did she ever really explain the entire veil thing? Like, I was waiting through the 6th and 7th books just for some slight explination into what exactly it was, and we get nothing! All we get is conformation of Sirius' death, thanks to his apperance with the death stone.

Yeah, OOTP really kinda sucked.

No, she never did. It seems like ti was just supposed to be a random thing in the dom. IMO it was just forgetful or ... an unfortunate omission that she didn't think of as having the same attraction to Harry as the other death magical objects.
