Which way?
I thought I knew which way Gen's story was going to go. Not the exact details of it, but the rough shape, and I had ideas for a number of scenes and pieces...
Until a couple days ago, when, at the end of chapter seventeen, Gen explains why a secret about her past can't come out to the general public. It was something I knew, but having her say it made me go, "Oh. But what if she did..."
*sigh*
Both options have the potential to be really great books, but they'll only work with these characters. And I can't see a way to make one storyline be a sequel-- as of right now they don't mesh and I would like this particular book to be stand-alone.
I think I'll be spending some quality time with my whiteboard soon.
