I'm close to hitting Chapter 30*.

This is the chapter that derailed me for at least a month, maybe more, on my last draft. It's a lot of talky-talky and I knew it was a lot of talky-talky, which made it all the worse

Is this the first in a series? I wonder b/c I definitely wrote a bloated first draft for Inheriting Garolass--like you, I cut about 100 pages--but I'm finding that the sequel-writing is much leaner (at least so far).
