Maybe she's lying about her worries for Arion because: 1. She doesn't want Arion to know and if you know then he will. 2. She's embarrassed for caring from him so much and thinks her worrying makes her appear to be not as strong as she wants to be 3. She's tired of having to worry about him all the time and so is burying the feelings in an attempt to make them go away.
Hm. Good points. She's just usually so freaking steady & forthcoming when I poke at her and go "Uh, where did that come from?" that I didn't expect everything to be so off.
I'm still cutting her POV out for now, though. I like the idea of flipping between them, but she's not really adding anything right now. Maybe later when... stuff happens... *cryptic* But not right now ;-)
