I've been working on a lot of different things in the last few years, trying to re-find my writing footing. I went through my WIPs last year (basically, any been-started manuscript that I have Actual Ideas for, and any follow-up books), and I came up with a whopping 30. Talking out what you want to work on it a really good plan. Sometimes, I think that jars something loose, you know?

Are you drawn to any particular genre right now?

I'm working on a SF novel right now.

I'm not being pulled toward anything in particular right now, though I am reading a TON of cozy mysteries (currently working my way through M. C. Beaton's Hamish Macbeth series). But that's not a genre I'm working in-- not because I don't want to, but mostly because nothing particularly fresh or interesting comes to mind for me to write.

I think part of my problem is I want to write ALL THE THINGS like did pre-baby, and I just don't have the brain power to keep that up now. When #2 is out & off to Kindergarten, maybe I can project hop more, but until then it's just too hard to wrap my brain around a new world every time I sit down. But I definitely miss being able to write a new chapter in one book, outline some notes in another, and then revise something totally different all within the same day!

How's the SF going?? And are you feeling any better, flu-wise?
