Working on TTOB is going Epically Slow. I thought maybe it was that I was tired of my characters, that my wrists hurt, that my mind was too full of critique, something. Anything. Some reason I could point to and say "that's why I'm not getting anything done ( Read more... )

I'm beginning to think I have slacker problems, except that I think mine are fear related. Fear of not being able to succeed, or some such.

I'm also trying to decide what attainable goals are.

I know exactly what you mean-- I was having that exact problem about a year ago. And what's going on is probably somewhat fear-based, too. *sigh* Only way out is through, I suppose!

Attainable goals are hard to figure out, IMO. It takes a lot of trial & error & figuring out what works best for you and sticking to it once you figure it out. Until it stops working & you have to try something different, heh. (at least, that's how it's "worked" for me!)

Yeah, I'm definitely trying to figure out how I want to approach my goals with more limited typing time (I call it "wrist time") and without burning out. I'm sure it's going to take a fair amount of trial and error, but hopefully I can get back onto a more productive track soon, whatever it may look like...

Thank you for this post. I have been too easy on myself lately...I am guilty of all of it. *sigh* I can never seem to find a balance.
