First.

I'm currently reworking THE TIES OF BLOOD, my alt-world Regency-era dark wizardy YA, a.k.a. my heart book. Adding the MC's "girlfriend's" POV wound up working much better than I'd expected, but something was still not-quite-right. *bops anyway* ;-)

Thanks! I'm kinda in love with that line at the moment. I just hope the rest of the chapter(s) live up to it!

Gosh, I just adore those kind of moments when they come to you and, you know, tell you things that click everything into place!

Yes! So great. Especially when this particular character has been whispering in my ear for 9 freaking years. :)

I always say it doesn't hurt to try it. If you write a chapter in the other voice & it works, woohoo! If it doesn't, well, you've only written one chapter & writing exercises are never a waste :)

That said, I wouldn't take anything I say about this particular project to be "the norm" for me! o_O I sure hope every book I write doesn't take nearly a decade to work!

Yay you for finding A's voice! Don't you just love writing revelations like that?! I know I do!

First person had been odd for me in the past, too, when I first tried it out, but now I love it. It's way too much fun getting thoroughly lost in a character's mindset like that, no matter what they're going through!

Yeah, I really do like first better than third now, so it makes sense for me to move this one to third it's just Very Different :)
