But a scene a little further away? Yep.

This! I write like this a great deal. The disadvantage is I can get muddled; the joy is arriving at a place & realising, 'Great! This scene is already written!'

I'm learning that I'm not the 'plotter' I imagined myself to be when I began this story a year ago. The tangents, paths & threads continue to amaze me.

Congratulations for finding your groove. Maybe you need to print out a sign above your writing desk, something along the lines of 'I don't need to write linearly, only the next scene' to remind yourself that your process is different.
