We are now at four episodes in a row that have used a woman being hurt, victimised or abused as a plot point. This is very much not good.
I completely agree, it's quite worrying. Only Annis has managed to weather the storm of misogyny so far!
I loved the way that Leon greeted Mithien and hovered over her while Gaius did his thing. Crush much, Leon? ♥
I got really annoyed with the writing - there were many other opportunities for Mithien to let Merlin and/or Arthur and/or Gaius know something was up and I don't buy it that she was too scared of Morgana to do it; not with the risks she did take. It was a shame- it wouldn't have taken much to make this into a really good episode.
Agree with you on the father issues, also. Worrying.
I'm kind of hoping we don't see Annis again at this point, considering what they did with Mithian.

Yeah, it went back and forth between logic and not-logic. They probably should have kept it Mithian-centric to the end. This isn't the first time they've focused an episode on a minor character and then suddenly switched to Arthur in the second half. :/
The father issue is part of a much larger trend I've noticed. It just particularly bugs me in this case because they had such a great mother/son dynamic back in S1 and they just... dropped it. Where even is Hunith now? Last time we saw Ealdor it was being burned down. :(
But yeas Mithian/Leon was adorable. :3 This episode gave me so many shipping-bunnies!
