One of those great SCA things

I've done Kingdom scrolls for a few years.  I do AOAs and other miscellaneous award scrolls because i enjoy doing them.  I've received a few verbal "thank you"s and one written note over the years, and that is enough to make me happy to know the recipients enjoy them.   Today, I got a package in the mail.  I had done a scroll for an AOA for Mudthaw ( Read more... )

Very sweet. :) I hear it often about how few people send thank-yous to the scribe who did their scroll. In turn, I try to make sure everyone who has ever done something nice for me gets my appreciation shown - by word, hug, note, or gift, within a short time of the receipt of the item (or sometimes to an autocrat for a really good event).

(I really need to start making up handmade thank you notes again)

Wow! Ive been doing scrolls for about eight or nine years now and have never gotten a preasant and can count on one hand the amount of thank yous that i have gotten over the years. Does this mean my work sucks or something?!?! LOL!
