Wow, this is stunning. It's lovely as a story, but it's also an excellent reminder of where we're coming from. I look at the hatred and intolerance around me, and it easy to forget that we also have things so, so much better than past generations.

The writing is beautiful. I hesitate to say 'lyrical,' because it's such a simple narrative, but that still the tone that I get from it. Lyrical. And hopeful, despite the situation Ryan and Brendon are in.

Yeah, that's the thing. This could have been set not all THAT long ago. I hope we continue to make progress this way.

I'm so glad the writing came across that way. I like to write sparsely but I try not to make it... devoid of emotion or whatever. So I'm glad that worked for you.
