Seiously, let me tell you, kids. I am most impressed with the public works of Champaign-Urbana, in a big way. I got in on the early voting action yestrday, as I'm still registered in Chicago. Aww. Now I totally want to move to a college town and become a bike person. I'm too afraid to ride in the city. I'll walk through the 'hood before I hit the streets on two wheels.

Exactly--I would NEVER do this in Chicago. For one, afraid of getting crushed by a car. Two, I like having doors that lock and windows that roll up in Chicago, especially as I'm in seedy areas more often than not.
