Poll I =still= haven't finished my second crypto-African-American history book, which is why that isn't one of your choices, and I'm torn whether to write the con artist review before I get around to watching The Sting and The Lady Eve, which isn't going to happen bc Jon and I are busy inhaling House of Cards. *sighs* Oh, and I guess I could write a ( Read more... )

How would you do the draft? If people have to go back to it later to see the revisions, you'll get a lot fewer follow-up comments/comments on the changes, and I think most people won't read the same post twice, if it was your intention to post both draft and final in the same place. If you put the draft here and get comments, revise, and put the final on some other blog, though, that seems to work fine. I know several people who do that to get feedback from a trusted audience under flock before posting to their public-presence blog.

We should totally compare notes on/geek out about House of Cards; I've seen the whole thing.

This.

Had an interesting conversation with my ex-ex-boss today about how, as a blogger, it's hard to tell when you've come up with something new or if it's just that you don't know enough about the field to know everyone knows this already.

Heh, yeah. "I HAVE DISCOVERED GRAVITY!" I think we've all been there a time or two.

I certainly wouldn't mind being among your beta readers, effectively.

I'm really enjoying the show. I tend to have two shows I'm watching at any time, the serious one and the fluffy one that seems so much easier to watch, until I try to go back to it after watching the serious one and it's always too light for me. Like, when I was watching Deadwood and Wonderfalls at the same time.

(that is, if you write something, and save it for cleanup or clarification, that's one thing, but i am, shall we say, extremely casual about my presentation)
