Are they soft? I was surprised at how low the thread count was on many of the patterned sheets at Macys.

I ignore thread count and go with feel. I think the ones that are currently on the bed are 400. But I've been a huge fan of RL linens for years. And we have a patterned quilt as well as a white one for covers when we feel like switching it up. Beds are places of happiness. As are easily accessible bottom sheets made specifically for wet times.

My sister and I were talking about how frustrating it is to shop on the registry: there are things on sale that we'd buy, but if you have to put it on a list and someone else will pull the trigger at some later date... yeah. I'd love to buy my sheets from Overstock (or Gilt).
