Mid-Winter Recess

Tues I woke up at 6am, but proceeded to BSOD over the size of my to-do list and played ZvP. Then I wrangled with both my old and new computers trying to download the audiobook of Michael Palin's Himalaya to no avail. Met OperaBoss for a very agreeable lunch at Landmarc: she'd ordered a yummy red, I had the lamb sandwich, they brought us pineapple ( Read more... )

Concerning Morticia Addams' cleavage, I believe tape is the answer. There's tape to tape them in place and there's tape that keeps the front of the dress from budging. Basically, the dress is adhered to her cleavage.

Btw, skiing in NH was pretty awesome this weekend. They got about 6-8" of powder between Friday and Saturday, so the ice was at a minimum. If you have the time, I highly recommend going up early this week as I believe it's supposed to get warmer (again) suddenly. Waterville Valley has pretty good lift ticket deals mid week. :)

But what keeps the breasts in place, sitting upright, bounteous but perky?

I'm glad somebody got some skiing this season! Not being a driver, last minute ski trips by myself are hard :(

Tape! It comes in rolls or in specific shapes. If you're small enough (I am not, alas), you can use the tape instead of a bra.

Oh, I totally understand not being a driver. That sucks. If I had time off, I would totally contribute to your ski-well-being and offer to pick you up at the train station in Hartford and take you there myself. I feel like everyone should get as much skiing in as possible while the snow is nice!

But if you need the bra, is there anything you can do? This came up a few weeks ago, when I realized my dress was cut too low, which was socially appropriate, but wasn't quite having the effect I wanted :-(

That's so sweet -- and such devotion to your sport! After reading your writeup, I keep vaguely thinking, "I'm unemployed -- surely I can find a way to make this happen" :)

"The other star of the show was Morticia's costumer: how does someone dance in a dress that shows that much breast? And how do you make them look like that when the whole inner third is displayed???!? Dear Magic Eljay, how do I make my breasts do that?"

This would benefit substantially from visual aids. /is just sayin'

>breakfast at the dirty Jamaican place in Penn Station, where I had a surreal conversation with an old dude from the West Indies.

I love those conversations. I used to go to Notting Hill Carnival every year, and my favorite bit was old Rastafarians leaning against railings and chatting to each other and saying things like "De beats, Clarence, de beats."
