One Perfect Day in an Otherwise Flawed Weekend

Thurs night, I went to see Cowboys & Aliens. It's pretty sad that I *heart* blockbusters and I target few of them -- and yet, I rarely actually make it to the theater to see them. Sad for Hollywood I guess. I liked it a lot: Daniel Craig is growing on me, Indy got more action than in the last Jones movie, and Olivia Wilde spent half the movie wet ( Read more... )

They get a bit soft in the summer, or so I'm told. :-)

I'll totally go to Rumney with you!

And you could have given me your shoe boxes. :-( Okay, I don't need more shoe boxes but I want them!

PS, zucchini pancakes.

Heh. I saved about a half dozen of the prettiest boxes, plus some for seasonal shoes. Scary that I have that many, huh? But Janice taught me that sometimes we have to allow ourselves to pick a few things to keep so we can get rid of the rest. The ones I got rid of were kinda ratty and now that I have fewer boxes, I know which ones have seasonal shoes!

thx.

I enjoyed Cowboys vs. Aliens. It had Cowboys! It had Aliens! And things blew up. I'm not sure what more people wanted or expected from the movie. I'm the opposite of you though when it comes to Daniel Craig...the more I see of him, the less I enjoy watching him.

I found myself thinking at some point during the movie that I no longer think of how wussy the actor seems to be; I'm starting to wonder if that was a ploy by the studio to generate interest in the reboot.

Oh, Journeyman looks fantastic! Thanks for posting a review. I really love the Cambridge area and Somerville is on my list for some tango classes in the nearish future, so there's opportunity.

Did you find MetroRock easier than other 9 or 10 routes at other indoor places? I've not been there yet, but a friend posted recently that she'd been there and thought it was much easier.

It didn't feel =much= easier, but come to think of it, I haven't been climbing 9s since the accident, so I guess that means it was :)
