See, as someone who hasn't gotten the flu in years but who has heard stories of people getting sick from the vaccine, I made the decision not to get the shot when they were offering it at work.
Ugh, I was nearly too depressed to respond to the first question. I am pretty much convinced that journalism-as-business at this point is (no matter how you do it) mostly non-viable. Also, I blame the internet (not because it breaks the journalism revenue model but because it is a powerful and mostly-toxic enabler of groupthink), but a justification of that statement is going to have to wait for another day. With respect to the second "who would you prefer as President," I answered in an imaginary universe in which all of the options were still alive and, in truth, I don't remember enough about Kemp to know whether I favor him over Bentsen - but I know that Galbraith hated Bentsen and that certainly gets him credit in my book. The Nobel Prize committee is on crack but I think there was ample evidence of this before they gave the Peace Prize to Obama. Flu shot? Yes please! I've gotten the seasonal vaccine and will get the H1N1 vaccine when and if it becomes generally available (I will not commit fraud in order to get it while I

Unfortunately, that would allow Congress to pass laws without even the weak restraint offered by the occasional Presidential veto. However, it is a satisfying thought.

And 100x yes to the flu shot. I tried to get people I know to get it too, but I think now they're limiting it to high-risk only.
