In the interest of full disclosure, I haven't read this one, myself. But! Back when I slung books at my local Barnes & Noble, I had this one recommended time and again by Poe aficionados, and had several chats with regulars who told me this was the Poe biography to put in the hands of the people. Possibly worth a second glance or a trip to the library, if you're still deciding!
