Those sympathies necessary for my being.

Was man, indeed, at once so powerful, so virtuous, and magnificent, yet so vicious and base? He appeared at one time a mere scion of the evil principle, and at another as all that can be conceived of noble and godlike. To be a great and virtuous man appeared the highest honour that can befall a sensitive being; to be base and vicious, as many on ( Read more... )

<3 Snow is fun, but in moderation, right? And I think we're way past the reasonable part.

I've decided to stay in until this evening, which is when the weather service is predicting that the heaviest of the snow will have passed.

GODDAMMIT, WINTER. I JUST WANT SOME CAKE MIX, OKAY? IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR? CAN'T YOU LET A GIRL HAVE HER CAKE?

I got tickets as well. I'm going to the viewing at Grauman's (now Mann's) Chinese Theatre. Given the date, I suspect I'm seeing the version with Cummberbatch as Creature.

I haven't bought tickets yet because my friend and I can't decide which date we want to go to. (It doesn't help that there are two places nearby, showing it on four different days.) Which did you choose?

...and thanks, by the way, for reminding me what to read after I finish American Gods. :)

Todd got us tickets for the April 2nd performance.

Where/when were you thinking of going? :)

We don't have a 2 April performance! haha. This is so confusing. I'm not even sure it's live...kind of takes the mmph out of the "hey, it's live from London." It's even harder trying to figure out who's going to be who now that the dates are getting changed for transmission.

One place is playing it 20 March at 12:30 and 31 March at 7:30, neither of which is a day listed on the NT's website. The other place is showing it on the 17th at 7:30 and the 27th at 12:30. We're leaning toward the 20th.

I love Frankenstein - a nice, leather-bound volume of it is one of the things I would love to have in my book collection. For the moment, I must settle for the e-book, since I loaned my paperback copy to a classmate back in college. (I don't mind - books are meant to be shared and loved *g*)

Hope you enjoy the production! =)
