The car drew up in front of the gallery and Lady Sandy was handed out by the doorman. She drew her pashmina closer around her bare shoulders, keeping off the chill evening air, as he inspected her invitation, then smiled and thanked him as he wished her a pleasant evening and waved her inside.

I can't believe I've never commented on this before. This is seriously one of the best fanfics I've ever read, and definitely the best angsty Mary/Bert fic I've read. I reread this fic about once a month because it is SO GOOD!! Great job :D

Thank you. I always think that people won't like it, because it goes so far against what most people want for the characters, so it's a pleasant surprise when someone does.
