Oh, that's weird. You know how falling in love makes pop lyrics suddenly seem meaningful? Apparently the same is true for Obama's victory. I'm just listening to Styx's Rockin' The Paradise, which might as well have been written about current events.

I know what you mean. After Howard was re-elected in 2001, I couldn't get Leonard Cohen's "Everybody Knows" out of my head: "Everybody knows that the boat is leaking/Everybody knows that the captain lied/Everybody's got this broken feeling/Like their father or their dog just died."

Nice to know it works the other way, too.
