There is a large grassroots movement called Say No to Proposition 8 via www.noonprop8.com which is trying to counter the fact that the right-wingers and fundies have begun soliciting funds from outside the state of California to push Proposition 8 through at the last minute. Several of us have made donations even though we live out of state of country to try and offset the damage the right-wingnuts have caused by going out of state themselves for millions of dollars.

I made a donation a few weeks ago. This is actually very important for me. If California keeps gay marriage, it will be the only U.S. state to do so and allow out of staters to get married. Since New York recognizes all marriages from out of state, this is the only way I could get married in the U.S.
