Yay: An olive branch to other faiths: Catholics host an interfaith and ecumenical summit today. "There is no threat to Catholics from understanding other faiths and reaching out. Did you hear about the interfaith conference in Madrid hosted by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia? Apparently there's some scandal about one of the organizers having ties to al-Quaida, but it's still an interesting thing.

I don't think Rudd is politically stupid enough to do that, and if he is there's enough women in his cabinet to set him straight on it. Pell is, but he doesn't actually have as much clout as he thinks he does. (MHO only of course!)

That makes three things I've read this morning that have left me seriously wondering about some people's idea of "normal".
