A further indication of my advancing extreme old age is that when Clarkson or May grumble about environmentalism, I just roll my eyes. I've been reading May's amusing column in the Telegraph this morning (I liked this one so much I saved a copy). It's very unusual for me to be reading the thoughts of someone who fits comfortably into their society

If it heads your way, I do suggest you watch Oz Clarke's recentish series where he drags May around France in a classic car trying to educate him about wine.

I have to admit it: I love Top Gear. Even if Clarkson makes me want to hit him over his head with a muffler (car, not garment).
