I thought you were pulling my leg, but this turns out to have been excellent advice. :) I'm now getting the hang of foobar2000.

I kind of was as I spent ages trying to find a player that fitted my needs and can be connected to every computer without any software, and especially no software that's in war with *cough* Windows. But good to hear there are alternatives to ITunes :)
