i love balsamic vinegar on everything too... hey what do you put in your soups? I made a soup tonight out of veg broth, water and vegetables and it was really good, but way too high in sodium...i used veg bullion cubes, and it was sooooooo salty....i cant stop drinking water!

I use 6 garlic cloves, shallots and onions, until translucent in olive oil. Then I add about 2 quarts of water, and to that, I add: carrots, parsnips, fresh parsley, celery, celery root, mushrooms, turnips, peas, corgis, yellow squash and butternut squash. I also add a bouquet garni, which is just a fancy word for rosemary, thyme, sage, and any other herb you'd like to add to taste, in a cheesecloth sachet. Remove when the broth is done. Add 4 bay leaves, these are essential. I use plenty of sea salt and fresh black pepper, and I cook it at a simmer mostly covered for at least four hours. Strain it in a sieve, and then save the broth either in ice cubes or in fridge. yay! I like the broth with cannellini beans and tomatoes in.
