Summer.
Ryan is bringing William home for the first time as his boyfriend. William's been over twice before but neither knew the intensity of the others attraction at the time. Now, they know and they're holding hands tightly.
"I'm not- I don't know if- I think maybe-"
"Ryro, just say it," William urged, using the nickname usually reserved for special situations, as they stepped onto the front porch.
"I don't know how my dad's going to react," he sighed, worry striking his face. William's heart melted as it always did around Ryan.
"It'll be alright, okay?" William said, pressing his forehead to Ryan's. Ryan bit his lip and Will chanced a quick kiss. He pulled away, half expecting lots and lots of yelling, and not from Ryan, but there was none. "Come on," William urged. Ryan nodded & pushed the door open. William laced his fingers with Ryan's again as they walked into the large entry hall. The living room was the first door on the right.
"Dad?" Ryan called hesitantly.
"In here," William heard the man's deep voice grunt. He was in the living room. Ryan walked to the open doorway.
"William- Will's here,"
"Hey." Ryan's dad kept his eyes on the TV.
"Alright, well, we- we're going upstairs." Ryan's dad nodded absently. Ryan took this as his dismissal and nearly dragged William's past the doorway and around to the stairs. They sprinted up them two at a time and Ryan was quickly shutting the wooden door to his room tightly.
"It's okay," William said in a sing song voice, grabbing a belt loop on either side of Ryan's hips and pulling him backwards. Will sat on the low dresser and drew Ryan into his lap. "He didn't say anything," Will assured him.
"He didn't even see us," Ryan argued.
"He might have." Ryan raised a skeptical eyebrow. William, deciding to get past this, began to kiss down Ryan's neck.
"My dad's here."
"He's not here," Will argued, insinuating that Ryan's dad was not in this room and, therefore, could not see them.
"William," Ryan groaned, only half argumentatively now.
"Come on, you know you want to," William breathed, his breath hot on Ryan's shoulders. Subtly, Ryan slipped his shoes off and, giving in, turned around to face Will.
"Quiet- We have to be quiet," Ryan implored. William nodded slightly as their faces got closer.
"Silent as the dead," Will breathed. Ryan scoffed, pushing Will back.
"Well, that's a turn off!" he joked, turning away and falling back on his bed. Will chuckled and stood ur, towering over Ryan.
"If that's a turn off," He crawled onto the bed and over Ryan. "Then what's this?" He asked, draping his body over Ryan and sliding his hands under the boy’s shirt as he nibbled at his ear.
"That- That's a-" Ryan was cut off by a moan as William's dug his hips into Ryan's.
"Turn on?" Will smirked. Ryan nodded voicelessly. William slipped out of his jacket and pushed Ryan's off his shoulders.
"Wait, wait," Ryan muttered as their shirts hit the floor. William frowned as Ryan's hand scrambled toward the bedside table. He grabbed one of the three devices and hit a few buttons. Soon, The Killers' newest album, Hot Fuss, filled the room.
"Mood music?" Will smirked again.
"More like cover music," Ryan breathed, pulling William's lips to his fiercely. Both boys battled for dominance and Will won when his hand 'innocently' traveled downward. Ryan, honestly not caring who won, had one hand in William's back pocket and the other behind the boy’s neck, holding Will to him. Will pushed Ryan's pants down as far as he could.
"Stay quiet, yea?" William whispered in Ryan's ear as his fingers walked over the boys hips. Ryan squirmed and nodded. He really just wanted William in him. Will dropped his head in the crook of Ryan's neck while his slender fingers worked around Ryan slowly.
"Tease," Ryan hissed as Will squeezed ever so slightly. Will smirked against Ryan's skin and let Ryan work at his zipper.
"Hey, Ry, I'm going-" Ryan's dad walked in. Ryan's Dad! Walked in.
"Oh, fuck," William hissed, falling off the bed in surprise. He was now half hidden between the bed and the wall while Ryan's dad stood on the other side of the bed. Ryan pulled his pants up and buttoned them silently while his cheeks flamed.
"Get out," Ryan's dad growled slowly. William grabbed his shirt, forgetting the jacket, and pulled up his zipper as he dashed out the door.
"Dad-"
"I'll deal with you later," he left the room and ran after William shouting threats and obscenities. Ryan felt helpless. He didn't have the courage to stand up to his dad.
Fall.
"I'm sick of being outside," Ryan groaned. William passed Ryan the bottle of whiskey. They had become rather healthy drinkers lately.
"I'm sick of your parents," William replied. Ryan quit his whining quickly. The couple was outside because of Ryan's dad. "Come on," Will said, pulling Ryan off the porch steps and toward the fence.
"What are you doing?" Ryan groaned.
"The shed," William smiled, turning to kiss Ryan quickly before opening the gate and slipping into the neighbor’s yard.
"William," Ryan whisper yelled warningly.
"It'll be fun," he assured the boy. Ryan rolled his eyes and let the taller boy tug him into the tiny shed. William shut the door tightly before taking Ryan's face in his hands gently. He pressed his lips to Ryan's until the boy accepted and kissed back. Moments later, Ryan was taking control as he used to. He sucked gently on William's neck. Will dropped his head back on the wall, trying to keep his breathing quiet. Ryan ground his hips in and a soft moan slipped past Will's lips. Ryan bit his lip to keep his moans down. He reached for the buttons on William's shirt and began to undo them, one by one.
"George Ryan Ross the third!" A shrill screech outside the door interrupted Ryan's kissing down William's body. He tried to back up but the sheer size of the shed restricted that ability.
"Yes?" he replied confusedly, the door still shut and his lips inches from William's stomach.
"Get out here," the shrill voice huffed. Ryan's eyebrows knitted together. In truth, Ryan was not completely sober at the moment and, for the life of him, he couldn't figure out who was interrupting this perfect moment. In the shed. Of his neighbor's backyard.
"Damn it to hell- That stupid as- Mother fu-"
"Ryan!" Again the shrill voice interrupted him.
"I'll be," Ryan paused to kiss William quickly. "Right back." He slipped out the door smoothly. "Yea?" he asked annoyingly, shielding his eyes. It was a lot brighter outside than in the shed.
"William Eug-" The voice hissed. Clearly she wanted Will out too.
"Get your knickers on, Bill," Ryan interrupted the still unknown voice. He didn't recognize it and his eyes were too blinded to see her. "The witch would like to see you too," he added, smirking. Ryan suddenly really hoped this wasn't his mother. Then, he remembered she'd left and sadness took over momentarily. William slipped into the sun a moment later. Ryan's eyes were finally starting to adjust as he did so.
"William Eugene Beckett Junior, what in damnation is the matter with you?!" The shrill woman screeched and Ryan turned his eyes to the noise. A short, plump woman with a rather round face and wild, but attempted to be coiffed, hair stood in front of the two looking quite small.
"Mom?!" William gasped. She was not supposed to be here. She doesn't live nearby and left William and his father five years ago. William hadn't seen in her two years. Oh, and she disapproves of all gays, so this was a great moment for her to reappear in her sons life.
"I'll ask you once more before I call your father. What in Jim's name is wrong with you?" she squealed.
"Who's Jim?" Ryan couldn't stop himself from asking. Damn that vodka and it swaying ways. Wait, was it whiskey or vodka?
"You stay quiet, mister," she hissed. Ryan scoffed and William grabbed his hand.
"Mom, you may not approve of Ryan, but I do," he said boldly.
"And you can't call his Dad!" Ryan sort of whined. "He accepts us. I think." Ryan hadn't meant to lie, so he added the last bit.
"Your father isn't around to be your friend. He's there to be a parent," she growled at William.
"Well, he's done a hell of a lot better than you have," William hissed, stomping towards the fence and yanking Ryan along behind him.
"Where are we going, Bilvy?" Ryan asked childishly.
"I don't know," he mumbled angrily, shoving the fence shut behind them.
Winter.
William rang the doorbell at Ryan's house hesitantly. It was close to snowing outside.
"I know it's too cold to be outside but I really wanted to see you," William explained quickly the moment Ryan opened the door. Ryan wasted no time in pressing his lips to Will's in greeting.
"I'm glad you came," Ryan breathed, taking a step back in case his father walked by. William smirked. "No pun intended," Ryan added. Will smiled and glanced wistfully into the warm house.
"I- I should go. Your dad doesn't want me here and it's too cold to be-" Ryan stepped forward and pressed his lips to Will's again.
"Stop, I don't want you to go."
"Ryro, I'll freeze to death out here," Will pointed out sadly.
"Could yo- I mean, can we- May-"
"Just say it," Will said softly. Ryan often stuttered incoherently around William. Will found the stutters endearing.
"Ma- Maybe we could go to your house?" he said quickly. William glanced up in thought. The thought had never occurred to him.
"Maybe we could . . ." he mused. He smiled back at Ryan. "Get you coat." Ryan nodded and dashed down the hall and up the stairs. He was back in two minutes, shouting to his father that he was going out.
"With a girl, I hope!" His father called back. William heard it. Ryan pretended not to.
"Your house," Ryan said after a deep breath, as if reminding him of their destination. William chuckled and grabbed the boy’s hand.
"Come on, boyfriend," he smiled kindly and they began to walk.
"How far is it?" Ryan asked curiously.
"Eh, about four hours," Will said seriously. Ryan stopped on a dime and gaped. "Gah, Ryro! I'm kidding, baby," He smiled as the sudden stop and their interlocked hands forced him to spin around and find himself very close to Ryan. "Hi," be grinned childishly. Ryan was still kind of gaping. Will smiled and pressed his lips to Ryan's quickly. "It's only about twenty minutes," he assured the boy. Ryan nodded blankly and Will kissed him again. Ryan didn't say anything to Will turned and tugged the boy after him. A few yards later Ryan was himself again and they spent the walk talking and trying to enjoy the sun despite the freezing weather.
Spring.
"It's sunny! There's sun! Ryan Ross! Get your ass down here and you better bring that boyfriend, I call my son, of yours!" William Eugene Beckett called up the stairs. Ryan sat up groggily at the sound of William's father’s voice.
"It's too early for yelling!" he called back. Ryan chuckled as he heard his footsteps getting closer quickly.
"It is not! Come on, let's go! It's sunny!" Ryan blinked a few times at Bill. William was still sleeping contently at his side.
"Did you get into the Southern Comfort already?" Ryan asked mischievously. Bill scoffed and began bouncing on his heels.
"Maybe," he admitted in a small voice. Ryan chuckled and feigned a hurt expression.
"Without us?" he chuckled. Bill shrugged.
"Wake up Will and we can go outside! Come on! It's sunny!" he shouted again. Ryan chuckled as Bill left and leaned over his boyfriend. He bent down and bit William's ear enough to wake him.
"Ouch," Will murmured. This was a daily routine. Ryan smiled and moved around to kiss Will quickly.
"Bill wants us to go outside."
"No, Bill wants us to sleep more," William argued, rolling over and burying his face in the pillow.
"The elder Bill, baby," Ryan smiled.
"Why?" Will pouted.
"It's sunny," Ryan said nonchalantly. William shot up.
"Really?!" he gasped. Ryan grinned and nodded as Will leaned in to kiss Ryan good morning. It's the beginning days of spring and the Beckett boys have been waiting anxiously for some sun because, well, they love to play outside.
"I'm so glad you moved in," Will said for maybe the millionth time.
"Me too," Ryan sighed. Will laced both his hands with Ryan's and stared at his boyfriend lovingly, memorizing every feature as his did every morning.
"Don't ever leave me, alright?" Ryan said softly. Will shook his head firmly.
"I won't."
"You promise?"
"I swear," he one upped Ryan, making the boy smile that perfect, innocent smile that could light up a million stars.
