homigosh, I love how you portrayed all three of these Fortune Sims. The contrast between Jennifer and Dina is so stark. You had me rooting for Dina! It's so weird to think of her in a sympathetic light. And Jennifer! I wanted to snatch her bald. I play her as a focused but family oriented career woman so it's nice to see her as someone completely different. Oh and Dina isn't a mean bitch in my game, she's just a vacuous material girl without a clue.

Oh and I was totally stalking you for an update and I squeed a little when I saw it.

You know, I hadn't even realised that so many of them were fortune sims! I guess the desire for money can be interpreted in many ways ;) You have to love that these characters can be seen so differently, I can completely see all your interpretations, especially Dina (who I am now imaging sounding like Marilyn Monroe).

Thank you, and that you were stalking me for an update totally made my day lol. I squee when I see updates too :D

You know, I think Darren took Dirk's news pretty well. I don't even want to think about what my parents might have done if I'd told them I didn't want to go to university :S

Here's hoping that Dina and Darren's business works out. And with any luck, Jennifer will discover the joy of knock-offs.

Yeah, Dirk has the advantage that his father feels guilty about being fairly absent in his grief, although that's not much of advantage. If only in real life we were given the freedom to make our own decisions without hearing what other people think is best for us :S

I think Dina and Darren can certainly succeed as long as no one interferes, and I've been playing around with Bluewater Village, perhaps someone can open a store for knock-off's lol.

I was so happy to see an update!! And it was really good and thoroughly enjoyable :D

Your stories of all these peoples lives are vastly entertaining.
I especially love the Dreamers.

Aww, thank you, and I'll try to make it not so long before the next one update. Funnily the Dreamers took quiet a while to establish themselves as characters for me, so I'm glad they're coming across okay!

On a complete side note, your picture makes me smile so much :D

Your child and parent interactions are great. They're so funny, and so real. It wasn't any surprise to me when I loved them on the Dreamers, who are a favorite family of mine, but I've never played with the Burbs, and yet I feel like I know them from John and Lucy's playful interactions.

I've been wondering where you've been, it's good to see you around again :D

And thank you! It's always a bit daunting trying to establish those sort of relationships because they obviously just vary so much; in real life and story telling ;). The Burbs are fun, they're quiet unassuming which allows lots of room for interpretation. Lucy and her dad begin with a good relationship and he is a family sim, so it made sense to me that they would be quiet playful with each other.

Yay! Darren! Things are going right for him :) This makes me happy.. *feels slightly guilty..*

Ah, the couch. That couch inspired a whole chapter, but for a different reason to that, hehe. Such a cheeky little bugger, that Dirk. :P

I feel sorry for John. The reaction he got from Jen wont make that stress any easier to deal with. Bless Lucy.

:D

When he was happily drowning drinks at the Goths I couldn't help but think of your Darren, although writer guilt, don't worry, I've got plenty too :P Ah, the things we put our characters though!

That couch just must be legendary, I look forward to seeing how it features :)

And yeah, John isn't having an easy time but Lucy is a very helpful and dutiful daughter. A bit Angela-ish but without the self pitying lol.
