I feel for all four of the Pleasants. Even if Daniel and Mary-Sue never really loved each other, it's a huge adjustment and it definitely takes its toll.

And I must say, kudos on being the first writer to make Don/Cassandra sound feasible to me--they're even sweet together here. Usually when I see them in stories (not that I've read every Pleasantview story out there), I just have to think "Well, yeah, but I'm going to need to see how they actually decided it would be a good idea to get involved in the first place". With your Don and Cassandra, however, that back story isn't needed, because they actually work. Well done! :D

I think it's impossible to believe that the breakdown and then break up of Daniel and Mary-Sue's marriage wouldn't have long lasting effects on all four of them. I think character wise it'll be interesting to explore especially with the twins!

And thankyou, I'm glad Don and Cass are believable! I've played them together before and they were just the sweetest couple, but it did always seem a little inconsistent for Cassandra to be just ignorant or accepting of Don's philandering ways and he suddenly deciding marriage was a good idea. But people grow and change...or do they? Time will tell I guess ;)

Sorry it's taken me so long to comment. I'm falling behind on things, badly :P

Another wonderful update! :)

At first, I thought that was Kaylynn.. :S It clicked after the second picture/paragraph that it was Cassie. (I blame them both being so 'similar' :P) I love the relationship you've given Don and Cass.

What a funny thing to apologise for! I've heard it's actually healthy to have periods of time away from livejournal (not advice I've acted upon myself though lol).

And funnily, as I was writing it, I realised that it actually wasn't obvious at first, and decided to keep it that way. From certain angles they can certainly be mistaken for each other, perhaps I can use that more in the story some how ;)(scurries off to think of plot ideas...)

It doesn't matter when you read it, just that when you do and still enjoy it :D

Thankyou for your kind words, and I feel Don really has the best intentions, although time will tell how far that will get him.
