BaCC: Forest Heights

Apr 26, 2011 22:15

As I mentioned, for my Build a City Challenge I’m following the rules by nepheris. I happen to be using a terrain by nepheris as well. So thank you, without you this literally wouldn’t exist :D

Aside from the founder, the other four families were randomised. My dice must have been loaded, or cursed, or something, because surely no one in their right mind would choose to have two romance sims and three pleasure sims. That being said, it’s certainly kept the game interesting!

So, without further ado, here are the first families (with appallingly boring introduction pictures) of Forest Heights:

William Faramound

(Knowledge)

William has always believed that armed with the right knowledge, anything is possible, including creating a thriving community where people had previously decided it wasn’t possible. Most responded by calling him a self righteous idealist but he hopes, with the people who have joined him, to prove them wrong.

Sky and Di (Diana) Barkworth

(Pleasure and Family)

The Barkworth sisters had a happy, albeit isolated childhood, growing up on a large country property and being homeschooled by their widowed scientist father. It was only when the family prepared to move to the city and knowing he needed to prepare his daughters, that their father reluctantly told them the truth. While they were both born on the same day, Sky was actually the result of him being abducted by aliens, and when Dianna’s mother died that year, he was left with two young girls to care for.

Their father knew that sadly, because of people’s ignorance, Sky would be treated differently and made Dianna swear to always look out for her sister. Even though they don’t always get along, she has always kept her promise and hopes in their new home she will be able to be the mother she lost so early in life. For Sky, learning she was so different from her sister changed her outlook on life, and she now lives everyday as if it might be her last.

Frank Jnr and Frank Edmundson

(Family and Pleasure)

Frank Edmundson had big dreams of being a famous guitarist, and was on the road to stardom when he was suddenly presented with a baby by a woman whose daughter had been a groupie he had bedded nine months earlier at a music festival. Although he never realised his dreams, once his son was old enough, he was able to focus on enjoying all the things he couldn’t while he was busy as a single parent. This behaviour made him rather infamous and convinced his son that it would be best for the both of them to have a fresh start.

Danielle and Merlin Pauwau

(Pleasure and Family)

Merlin inherited magical powers from his father who had been the Medicine Man of his tribe but is focused only on settling down where his family can have a happy and carefree existence he experienced as a child free from the troubles of a big city.

Danielle had thought marrying someone with such an extraordinary lineage would be, well, much more exciting. She certainly hadn’t imagined she would be moving away from the pleasures of the city to the middle of nowhere.

Samantha, Caitlin and Samuel Uduak

(Romance, Fortune and Romance)

Samuel never thought of himself as the marrying kind but when it came to it, if he had to be, he could envisage himself being happy with Caitlin. His similarly minded sister Samantha had been quick to argue that he didn’t actually have to get married but he’d already asked as it seemed the right thing to do.

Caitlin was quick to recognise the many needs of a new community and the many financial opportunities that joining William offered. It also didn’t hurt that in such a small community it would be nearly impossible for him to be unfaithful. She wants to support her husband’s dreams of being a celebrity chef and plans on opening a restaurant.

Samuel’s twin Samantha came along, because seriously, she was so over the same people and places.

Thanks for reading :D
