Ajay and Lola are so cute. Poor, tormented Ajay though. He did something horrible and now he can't get over the guilt. I can't imagine he ever will. It can be tough to write a convincing killer without making them a complete monster, but you've definitely done that here. The pictures of Beatrice and Benedick were a well-done, tragic touch.
I tried to comment yesterday, but LJ wouldn't let me log in. Hopefully this goes through this time...
And I've never written a killer before, so I'm glad he's still convincing although despite not being straight out evil. I adore Ajay and Lola together, whether it can end happily though is yet to be seen. And I'm also glad the pictures of Beatrice and Benedick worked, I'd had them since shooting the prologue!
"He used to run a bakery with his mother in Bluewater Village (..) ==> lol
I love Lola, and her romance as you describe it it beautiful. "No", she told him, "I wouldn't." = I wouldn't either, Lola, love you even more for this ! And I believe that would have been her answer indeed.
I meant to compliment the restaurant and such, but reading further... Oh, Ajay! Woe to you, what have you done? :( And you earned Lola's oath by foul play. If bad karma wasn't going to bite your ass for what you did in Veronaville, I bet it will for that..
The Curious brothers are so fun too. MOAR PLZ K ^^
Lola is so much in love, and although Ajay is too, he has so much that he should have told his fiance before she made such a decision. But then again, if you are in love and asked to decide whether the past matters, I would say it's much easier to say that it doesn't.
If I was Ajay I'd be worried about karma too, then again, he could only add it too his list of worries.
I love how different the Curious brothers are from each others which makes for fun interactions :D
Thank you for reading and commenting, and I'll try to get an update posted before too long!
I got here after reading your interview for Sim Storytellers Spotlight. Just finished reading and have to say that I am in awe. You're characters are so well developed I find myself really caring about what is happening with them. I love that so much tragedy has made relationships stronger between people and that some have found happiness out of it.
Really looking forward to what happens next. I'm excited that Bianca and Kent have met the Curious brothers.
Thank you so very much not only for taking the time to catch up but your lovely feedback! I'm starting to piece together the pieces for the next chapter so hopefully it won't be too long, although that will take place in Pleasantview.
