Poor Detective Baity, that would be a tough position to be in.
I admire Hermia's 'Capp' strength, and her want to take full responsibility over her son, even at such a price. I'm agreeing with many of the others. Teen pregnancy/motherhood isn't all rainbows and butterflies..
I know, talk about being between a rock and a hard place!
Hermia's is being responsible and accepting the consequences of her actions, and even though she loves her son, that means she has to make sacrifices. As you say, it isn't all rainbows and butterflies. Even if you are lucky enough to have support from your family and friends there is still going to be struggles tacking motherhood at such a young age!
Thank you for reading and commenting. I hope everything is going well with TAFE etc :D
All in one go so I am still processing a lot of it as the plot twists and turns and people die all over everywhere. Seriously, I am still sitting here kind of going "They all blew up. Boom! Just like that. Gone. They were there and then .. ashes and executions and then kidnapping of Ophelia too! Then Loki just lost it (did he ever really have it to lose? hmm, I wonder) and Brandi ..."
Okay, I have to admit the more morbid side of my brain was trying NOT to make the flambé reference when Brandi died :( I didn't succeed.
You read this all is one go?! You have my admiration for sitting down for the long haul and my thanks for taking the time to catch up ;)
I hadn't even considered the flambe reference. It may be morbid but it is rather brilliant; I'm kind of jealous I didn't think of it!
I'm moving house in a few days but after that I'm sure simming will once again become a favourite way to procrastinate spend my time. Which should mean an update will be out hopefully soon :)
Thank you once again for taking the time to read all the chapters and comment!
I stumbled across this story, and wanted to let you know that I think it's great. You've done a good job of taking the characters the game created and bringing them out of the sterotypes that EA/Maxis wanted to force them into. And I love how you've intertwined the three original hoods - something that I wish there was more of.
I'll leave more specific comments on future chapters, but wanted to leave you a note to say love it and keep up the good work.
Thank you so much, and thank you for taking the time to catch up! EAxis certainly enjoys their stereotypes and it's been fun, and sometimes challenging, to go beyond that.
Once again thank you for reading and commenting. Hopefully the whole moving house business will be over soon and I can work on the next chapter!
Oh wow, I'm finally all caught up on your story, and I can comment. I love it, you've done such a great job with the characterisation and I feel really invested in the storylines.
I loved the prologue, the set up of the plot was great - so many characters gone but yet, you really brought the remaining sims alive, and in a way that I haven't read in other Maxian stories.
I honestly can't wait to read more, I hope your move went ok :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to catch and comment, it really means a lot. I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
The move itself was a comedy of errors but my furniture, my cat and I eventually arrived at our new home. I got the chance to load up the game last night and take a few pictures so hopefully the next chapter will be out soon :)
