Oh no! Poor Dina. She just lost her friend, and now her husband as well. Little Victor will hardly even remember his father :(
On the plus side, it's nice to see Angela and Lilith getting along, even if it is a result of tragic circumstances. And at least Dustin has a new friend.
But, Mortimer! You know, if you kill someone off every chapter, sooner or later you'll run out of characters.
I'm really liking the the Pleasant twins. As you said, Angela isn't secretly the evil one, but I totally get how frustrating it would be to be her sister. It's good to see that they still have a bond, even if they are at odds. I really think you have a great sense of how human relationships work.
Also, Nina is another one of those characters who just dangles off for me. She doesn't have too many relationships in town, and those she does have (Nina, Don) have other things going on besides her. I look forward to your fleshing her out.
Ha, I know! In all fairness Brandi's death was a surprise even to me, but Morty's age bar was just full :(
And wow, thank you! Human relationships must be some of the most complex in the animal kingdom so that really means a lot :)
Nina is I think a really good example of how Maxis will focus on the romantic relationships, or possible triangles before actual friendships. The few that do seem to crop up seem like an almost after thought sometimes. Although that being said, with Nina, her romance aspiration probably doesn't help!
You're breaking our hearts here! But I do wish Mortimer the tiki drink and hula girls he so deserves. Wow, I didn't expect that from Angela but I can't say I'm surprised. If Angela doesn't go to SSU, what will she do? Dustin could definately use a friend at this point and Nina could just use a friend. Btw, I really like that hairstyle on Nina. What hood are we going to in the next update?
P.S. Thanks for updating. I can't believe you're almost on chapter 20!
I know, but Morty did get his hula girls and his platinum grave stone!
I think tragic events will often make people reevaluate their life, but then again, you ask a good question. I guess she (or I lol) will have to consider what she would do if she did decides not to go. I'm pretty sure her (my) mind is made up ;)
And I think it'll be interesting to see how Dustin and Nina progress, and I must admit I absolutely adore that hair and have to be careful not to use it too much.
The next chapter will be in Veronaville, and thank you so much for for reading and commenting, it really does make my day!
I always thought that the distance between the girls would have been a combination of many things but that deep down, they are still sisters and would comfort one and another when they needed it.
And yeah, probably not, but hey, he's almost 18 (sims day wise) ;)
Mortimer's death was unexpected! It will be interesting to see what happens to her now.. I like how you've made Nina so true to what I perceive her character to be! It was a real Nina-like move to offer Dustin alcohol and making sure he didn't expect her to be his mother! I'm also interested in Alexander, he seems to be sim-one who doesn't get a fair shake, his mom, dad and sister suck up all the attention. Poor thing.
Lovely chapter, and Veronaville up next!!! Can't wait :)
Dina's life is unlikely to ever uninteresting, that's for sure.
And I'm glad you agree with Nina's characterisation, while she is a good sim at hear, she certainly isn't one who wants, or feels capable, to become a parent to two orphaned boys.
I know what you mean about Alexander, and I must admit as a character he took a little while to come together for me and that's probably because the attention is always taken away from him.
Thank you, and I'm looking forward to returning to Veronaville too :)

It can be surprising what can arise out of a tragedy and certainly brings out people's (or sims) real colours!

I felt so happy when I saw the girls staring to get along, even if it is over tragedy/troubles.
Hmmm, not sure alcohol is the best thing to be serving a teenage boy who's going through such a troubling time.
