And I really love the bit with Alex and Dustin. Imo, is very hard to show age difference between sims of the same life stage, but the way Alex looks and feels so much younger than Dustin was really well done.
Thank you, while it was a surprise the game decided to throw at me, I felt I couldn't ignore it, after all these tragedies happen in real life. And I'm glad that some of the better things that can come out of tragedy, such as being given unexpected support, came across.
And I agree with you on the difficulties of the age differences! Even with his new glasses and haircut Alex still appears pretty awkward which made it easier lol!
Dustin's more mature and responsible than he thinks he is. Times are definitely going to be tough for him and Beau, but I'm sure he'll manage the best he can. Still... so young and they've already lost both parents in freak accidents... :(
Hopefully they let Angela make up the exam. It seems like the sort of situation for which an exception could be made.
This is definitely an event that will shape Dustin but as you say, even if he isn't aware of it, he is capable of being responsible for his brother. He's certainly had a bad run though, although if I had remembered to check for a fire alarm Brandi may have survived longer :S
Missing the exam was probably the first time Angela really did what she felt was right even though she knew there could be significant consequences. How Mary-Sue will feel about her decision will be another matter entirely!
I just love so much what stories you weave around the maxis characters! Poor Dustin and Beau. This chapter was excellent - (feeling a little mournful over the loss of Brandi. though- I have a soft spot for her)
Thank you! And I'm mourning Brandi too, she was a good sim, and the fact that things were finally beginning to get better for her makes her accidental death even sadder :(
