Sarrazin. I mean - please? What is this guy thinking? Is he thinking at all? Or is he just planning to become very rich by selling far too many copies of this insult of a book? If the last thing is true: he should be ashamed doing so on the cost of other people ( Read more... )

Sarrazin = epicly sucessful troll. Germany is pretty stupid for letting him be so successful.

The problem is, as I said just this morning, not even this guy and what he says, but that he's obviously striking a chord with people. The fact that even readers of the ultra-left(!!!) TAZ angrily commented along the lines of "Sarrazin's stupid, but fundamentally he's right" when the TAZ posted an anti-Sarrazin article shows that we have a very serious problem at hand. Maybe with Sarrazin trolling everybody we can have a controlled explosion that hopefully won't break too much of the porcelain... if that huge mass of pent-up aggression remains unaddressed, who knows what'll happen. (I've started to think that this may be a very German thing - clenching your teeth together and enduring whatever pisses you off, but once the keg IS full, exploding and completely going overboard. :(a )

PS: Anne Will not her, that other show, you know, is on now with exactly that topic! And Sarrazin's there too.

Yeah I know - the "Hart aber fair"-bloke. I actually thougt of watching it but I was too tired to hear people talk in circles.

What I cannot understand - why do they all invite this idiot? He can't wish for better publicity for his book (I heard it sells like hot rolls - yeah, another word game that just does not work in english).

I don't understand why they think he might be right at points and I don't think it matters because he comes to the wrong conclusions. You think it's a German thing to wait until you are really really pissed and then lash out - preferribly in the direction of someone who isn't likely to be able to strike back? That's depressing...

lol, this is again a topic where I rather stay blissfuly ignorant. i saw the name mentioned a few times, and read one or two comments of his, decided it was complete bullshit and chose to ignore any subsequent articles...

I did that for a long time, but I guess as a tax paying citizen I'm not allowed to go on like "oh I didn't know and didn't care".

Most of the time politics really make me sick with anger and frustration 'cause there's not much you can actually DO about it, but on the other hand: if I don't care, who else does? If every sane person stays far from all the discussions (what would be completely understandable), that leaves us with the insane bastards - and no one can want THAT.

So I try to stay informed so I'll know what to stand up for if need should arise, if nothing else.
