I've been away from Second Life and this blog for most of the past week and a half, and I'm a little disturbed to tell you that it wasn't so bad being away. I don't have all the insecurities that I do in rl when I am in sl. I think partly because I'm not me, despite acting pretty much the same. This lets me be more outgoing in sl. Since I act more freely in sl without my insecurities hampering me, I get lots of compliments about the person that I am, which has translated into me feeling better about rl me and being a little more assertive and outgoing in rl.
