There are both a special satisfaction and a special disappointment that come with having a store in Second Life. Well, not everyone gets both, but let's say it's a common thing

Kate I love the store and the Faerie Glow. On me it sort of pulses on and off which while initially surprising, I like because it's more attention gettng that way.
Your shirts are brilliant and evry funny. Many of the messages can be worn by either sex. I took a few guys to your old store and they would have bought some too except for the feminine lacy trim on the shirts. Perhaps you could make some guy's versions too?
*squeals in delight at seeing herself surrounded by bats*
The shop looks great! I'll definitely be by to scoop up a new anti-halo, as I gave mine away to a friend.
Marketing seems even more important in SL, as the chances of someone wandering by your shop, if you're not in a mall or other heavily-trafficked area, are even slimmer than in RL.
The shop looks great, of course. :) And yeah, it's always a thrill to hear that little "pocket change" sound, isn't it? At the same time, I know what you mean about potential disappointment... it took us the better part of a year to get to where we are now, and I just consider us lucky that we're in an apparently-undersaturated set of markets...
Since so many of your products are fashion-oriented, I suggest joining FashCon. Apply as a designer. Once they finish processing your app, you can send one note a week to over 1600 people advertising your latest new product. :D It works for me!
Since everything in your shop is new from the FashCon perspective, you might want to either advertise it all at once in a single notecard... or break it up by week, like your fairy aura one week, funny t-shirts the next week, or whatever. Up to you.
If you want an example of the notecard I send out weekly, just holler. People have complimented how convenient it is having all the photos, landmarks, and other info in one place.
Thanks, hon! I wasn't sure whether or not Kate Tease might be a good match for Fashion Consolidated. Given that encouragement, I'll fill out an application and let them sort out whether or not I sound like a good fit. :)
Wow! Who is that beauty in the faerie glow ad? *grins*
Great post, Kate, and good luck with the new store. I think FashCon would be a great idea for you - your stuff certainly fits, and is nicer than much of the krud that comes over the feed most days. :)
Yes, I really enjoyed doing the product shots for the faerie glow and the box of bats! :) Kit was my model for the faerie glow, and nox for the bats. I love nox's castle-y house in the background.
