I saw this and nearly peed myself laughing. For those who don't know The Daily Star is a very reactionary paper which contains more tits than news (to put it plainly) so I find it much more funny than annoying (obvioulsly it's bad but oh dear the laughs, especially Stephen Moffat's reaction! XDDD) daily star morons, sherlock holmes, bbc!sherlock

I am all for as many Sherlock homos as I can get.

I have a friend who has been a Sherlockian for years, portrays him on stage and gets paid for it, knows canon inside out, has written pastiche, blah, blah, blah.

He thinks this new incarnation is one of the best he's ever seen. So the Sherlock homo part must not bother him. I'll have to ask.

I think it's utterly amazing, it's crept up to second to Brett in my eyes in an hour! It just made me laugh that the daily star has gone totally out of proportion in terms of flipping out XD I'm prepared to argue that gay!Holmes is pretty much canon, slash is more interpretation I know.

I'd be interested to hear what your friend thinks (professional Holmes = best job ever) :D

I like to think that ACD would like the turn his characters has finally been allowed to take. Anyone who has read Canon and is not oblivious to the word subtext knows that there is more than enough hints at SODOMY to at least entertain the tohught of ACD not being completely in the dark of what he was hinting at.

I mean, he hung out with Oscar Wilde, for crying out loud! XD

Well I can't say as I believe he's LIKE it exactly but then I know he based some aspects of Holmes on Oscar so I doubt he'd be outraged either. It is the Daily Star tbf, and while it's sad that there are still such a bunch of penis brains in this day and age it's a fact and this paper is written by and for them, so I'm happy to stand on the sidelines and laugh (and occsionally throw rotten tomatoes)
