I've been meaning to write a pregnancy update, and since I left work early today for a routine doctor's checkup, here on my nominal due date, now seems as good a time as any.

I know! And on one level I feel pretty silly about treating these little dragons as heirloom-quality things, but I *did* make them, I should respect the time I put in even if they weren't very complicated, and because, it's not like I can frame them myself . . .

But, man, it's ridiculous.

Hoping all goes well next week! And on a more minor note, ZOMG, I hate the cost of custom framing too! I've only framed one cross-stitch project, and gah....

If it was the same "celestial angel" that I did, yes, that was eye-poppingly expensive, and I framed that more than ten years ago . . .

I do hope you just plain old go into labor on your own. It's pretty exciting! Plus, it's fun to tell the kid later all about the mad dash to the hospital.

"Do you know, they must be fed every two hours?"

*grin*

It's a preview for raising a teenager.

I hope very much there is no mad dash, since (a) we live about ten minutes from the hospital and (b) I'm given to understand that if we're needing to madly dash, things will be more exciting than we'd like . . .
