Wiped out for no obvious reason today, so no new panel reports. Here's a poll to help me decide which to do next:
Poll
Also, the "tell me which fictional character I am" meme is very much fun, even if I absolutely suck at coming up with answers. (I've been thinking about it on and off most of today, and the only person I've decided on is veejane, who hasn't ( Read more... )

It's kind of intimidating, actually, but thanks!

How odd, I too am sure I know who veejane is. But she has to ask!

Sharp-witted, sharp-tongued, precise in mind and word, kind to people you respect but ruthless with stupidity; I don't know what you look like, but it doesn't matter, because your mind is what makes you sexy.

You are M from Casino Royale!

Somehow I've missed this one -- I'm supposed to ask what fictional character I am?

Started as anime/manga, but people have been expanding it. Here's an example: http://rachelmanija.livejournal.com/533206.html

There aren't many people I'd trust to come up with one for me that worked, but you are one such.

But I said I wasn't any good at it!

Okay, since I have some time before I can go back to sleep--

The problem here is that the character who immediately came to mind--like, in five minutes immediately--I can see correspondences but I also suspect that came to mind for a shallow thing. But now I can't dislodge the thought.

So: you are knowledgable about and competent in a wide range of disciplines. You know your personal codes of behavior and you stick to them, no matter that those you encounter may be puzzled by them. You have more facets to you than you reveal to the public. (And you have a Trinity accent.) You are Stephen Maturin!

Oh, and I should say that as it's being done, what really counts is personality and life circumstances, not physical characteristics. Which is why the shallow thing, the accent, is vexing.

You are Stephen Maturin!

Lucky you, rysmiel! I think Stephen Maturin would be a wonderful person to be...

Oh, I can certainly live with being Stephen Maturin. Thank you.

You are fierce, incisive, and joyful. You are Peach from Diane Duane's Young Wizards' books!

Oh hell, now I have to go read those books, don't I? (I've read Diane Duane, just not those.)

Thankyou for not picking a character whose hair is a whirlwind and house is messy.

I dunno, did you like the prior Diane Duane books you've read?

If not, I could spoil you.
