So, if I've seen the last two episodes, finding them a bit heavy-handed and predictable (well, tonight's) but on the whole enjoyable, is it worth going back and watching the rest of the season? Especially given the issues people have had with the show's treatment of race and gender? (I've been reading people's spoiler posts pretty well

I think the show isn't so good with gender (and doesn't realize it), but it is making a conscious effort with race, albeit stumbling a lot. I give it a lot of flack, but honestly, most other shows on TV aren't even trying with race; I just don't give them flack for POC portrayal because there are no POC.
The first few eps. of the season are also rather heavy-handed and predictable, then it gets pretty good around eps. 7-10, then it slows down a little. I think my favorites are Company Man and Five Years Gone and Six Months Ago. Though I'm also not sure how fun it will be if you know the plot twists.
