I'm awake!

Made it through the two middle-of-the-night Mariners games! To recap, they (and the A's) played two games in Japan, for international relations and all. These count as regular seasons games, even though the rest of the regular season doesn't start for another week. (Which means the Mariners--and presumably the A's--now go back to practice games for ( Read more... )

It's really weird they didn't advertise Opening Day more! And weirder that they're going back to Spring Training now. HUH?

And I can't believe you woke up at 2:45. Then again, I went to sleep two nights ago at three, so maybe my inner clock is a little off.

Maybe they knew I was creepily talking about them here. LOL. But it would be fun for all of you to go to games together, right?

I knoooooow. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about those games, haha. (Though I think it's for the benefit of the players, really? Give them a week to adjust to the huge time difference.) I realized what the worst part of it is while driving home and listening to sports radio: People freaking out over TWO GAMES. I mean, I get it. It would've been awesome if the Mariners scored, like, 10 runs per game and this feels too much like the past few years. But it's sooooo early and these are "weird" games? I might've worried if Felix had had a terrible start, but, even then, it would just be one start.

Haha, I've slept pretty regularly 1-9 lately, so I feel like I've been okay? I'm not feeling it as much as I expected, so hopefully I'll be back on track in time for my NEW JOB.

I think so! We'll see what happens this year. :D

Because you are a balanced person and the rest of sports is usually not? (And I'm sometimes not, too. Oh well. I try to be! At least baseball is more conducive to balance, too.)

That's really good! I don't think I remember what eight hours of sleep per night feels like.

I WANT DETAILS ON THIS JOB. SERIOUSLY. Like, what are your new hours? And is it far from your house? And does the salary pay you what you deserve? (That one's none of my business, I know :D JUST SAYING I hope it does!)

I mean, I have my reactionary moments, for sure! But I still think it'll be a fun, good season, even if the Mariners and A's probably ARE fighting for third place. (It's also sports radio, so some of it is probably talk for the sake of talk ( ... )

I'm kind of hoping to be more social about my Mariner fandom this year and I think we ended up having a nice time.

I think this is a wonderful goal! And good. I was just about to ask.

I have more things to tell you about it, probably, but I think they're going to have to wait. TIRED. <3
