Okay, I know most of this won't mean anything to most of you, but . . .

Felix Hernandez just pitched a 2-hit complete game, gave up one run and lost. NOW DO YOU SEE HOW BAD THE MARINERS OFFENSE IS? And his one run? Jose Bautista's 50th home run. Seriously? How should Felix get all the blame for this loss? After a while, I actually started rooting for the Mariners to lose because this game is just the perfect ( Read more... )

Well, then what good are you to me? ;) I do have ones I like, but it doesn't seem like there are many of them! And I'm including, like, Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie and stuff like that.

(Oh yeah, I haven't gotten around to replying to comments yet, so I was going to ask, does that mean I need to watch it?)

Ooooh, that does sound like something I could be into. But now you need to hurry and finish it and tell me what kind of ending it is, you know, in the sense of how mad will I about it not getting more episodes . . .

Haha, but somehow tv being my crack has translated into me being more picky in some ways? I WANT THE GOOD STUFF. And by "good stuff," I don't necessarily mean high quality tv, just stuff that will, uh, get me high? What does crack do to you? Where am I going with this metaphor?

Oh, and I still want to try the show in your icon . . .

Okay, see, it's the same characters each time part that's tripping me up. I can come up with plenty of good genre fiction that's complete, but a lot of them are romance novels that always have the same characters, but a different one takes the lead in each book. If you're into that, let me know. That I can help with.

Failing that, have you read Roger Zelazny's Amber books? At least the first five are all about the same character, though after that they switch, I think. I'll think about this more.

Sometimes I am, but right now I want more continuity.

Hm, I don't think I've even heard of them! But I looked them up and they sound interesting. Thanks!

Uhhh. Have you read the Jessica Darling books by Megan McCafferty? Those are my favorite, they're fantastic.

YES. I really enjoyed them except for it always creeped me out that Jessica was the exact same age and graduating year as me. And then that just made me even MORE bitter I never had a Marcus. ;)

The Tomorrow Series - John Marsden! It's completed, all the books are from Ellie's point of view and they're fantastic and you really should read them.

I'm sure there's others I can rec, but I'm having a mindblank. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

Yeah. I should get on that. I'm sorry I've been so fail-y at reading them. Or, well, at acquiring them.
