He was shaken by the young kid he killed, although he didn't say it aloud. They ended up in his room. When he growled that he didn't care for pity fuck, she smiled and threw him against a wall. "Who says I pity you, Slade?" Then they fought/had sex/traded stories of terrible carnage, and he never said 'thanks' but she didn't need for him to say it, and he knew that, too.
