This is kind of a new style for me, so I'm glad to hear it worked!

I'm trying Very Hard not to see wee little Rose's expression and the size of her hands compared to his. Slade, dude, she's a *kid*. Your kid.

She splits his lip, and he tells her about Adeline tasting his own blood every time his mouth moves.

I'd ditto the 'run for the hills' sentiment, but it's been said, and we all know how it ends up.

*would pat Rose if she'd allow it* But I am so fond of all my limbs...

She doesn't really like the Titans. They're not family.

And she's as likely to die with them as she was with *him*.

But at least if they lie to her, she's expecting it.

Oh lords, even reading this in retrospect, it's kind of painful. I do have to wonder if Slade ever did something like this, or if Rose is still ignorant of most of her mother's history. Makes me wonder.
