This is old-school Robin, back when Dixon was still writing it. I haven't so much as looked at OYL Robin for purchasing purposes since I heard about Cass, just mocked the scans. However, I'm contemplating Titans East. Solely to look at the Slade-Cass interaction. Yes, I am an obsessive creature.

If -- *if* -- I pick up Titans East, it will be solely because of Slade and Cass interacting. But first I'm going by s_d to check and see if it's worth it, because I doubt it will be. Grargh. The idea of Titans East does not actually fill me with vibrating rage, but the execution sure does.

I swear, Dick treats Bette like Bruce treats Helena, and I'm not sure why. Metatextually, different writers. Treating him as a character, he may just feel his "turf" being trespassed on in some way that he hasn't felt with other non-meta heroines. Babs made herself Batgirl, not Redbreast, after all.

Okay, that's a good point. That scene was creepy. I think it creeped me out less because I kind of expected it, the whole Alice thing. A lot of the stuff here I didn't expect at all.
