Title: But he is mastered now
Summary: Batman is the good cop. It’s Robin you should be scared of.
Author’s Notes: Marcelo wrote
this, and then he wrote me

This is, after all, a war, and you kill in war. Batman has only killed once, the Joker after Ethiopia, but Robin... the mobs and the gangs tell stories of what happens if you attack Robin. Batman's soldiers are *very* well-trained.

I've come to think that Robin might be a bigger concept that Batman. Reading this, I can *feel* that; that world gives me goosebumps.

And the Robins get deadlier. Things just *shift* in a Gotham whose heroes will kill.

... This is me hiding under the bed.
This is *also* me not contemplating at ALL Slade/Dick in this world, nope! And also not being obsessive.
After Jason recovered, Tim offered Robin back, and Jason just laughed. The next day, there were *two* Robins out on Gotham's rooftops, and Batman smiled.

I can't help but ponder a Cass coming to this Gotham, though...

Marcelo's premise, Dexter as the first Robin, altered Batman's perceptions of the following Robins. If you start with a sociopath, you're more accepting of future Robins wanting to kill. IMO, at any rate. They're *supposed* to only kill for the Mission -- the Code of Batman, if you will -- but that line gets blurrier and blurrier as time goes on.
W00t! I'm glad the extrapolation didn't seem too out there.
Batman near-worships his Robins. Bruce is a little leerier, but also more in love.
