Mmm. Post Secret spin-offs. I never got into Post Secret and I don't think I can or will. It's complicated and has to do with a certain person I know being shallow. Fun fun.
I think this is a fandom wagon I won't be joining. I do own the original Post Secret book, though. Ash deliberately left it behind at my house months ago.
The posts you linked to. They're not an original idea. There was a guy named Frank Warren. He was an art student and he needed to put together a final project.
What he did (which I think is brilliant) is he gave out blank postcards. The postage on them was paid for already and he told people, random strangers, to write a secret on them. The secret had to be something that these people have never ever shared with anyone. And they could draw pictures to represent these. They couldn't add their name. They would mail these to Frank and he'd use them in his display.
Frank was surprised to get thousands back. Just...unbelievable. He made a book and some of the postcards are just...stunning. I guess that's a word to describe them.
Examples: I love one of my children.
I give decaf to customers who are rude to me.
Honestly, I'm glad your uncle died, because he molested me that time in 7th grade that I spent that night at your house...He told me that I liked it. I hope he likes it in his grave.

I love fandom.
I said I LOVE FANDOM.
The creativity. The geekery. The utter love for the characters. The poetry. The graphics.
