I ship Babs/Dick in much the same fashion that I ship Slade/Adeline, though to a far lesser degree -- You Crazy Kids So In Love! -- only Babs/Dick is fraught in different ways.
I ship Babs/Ted in the fashion of *sheer smooshing them together*. *haaaaaaart*
I feel like such a dork but I don't quite get the "four beings or groups" ones. Not that I can't see where the point is. I'm sure it's something I just...clued out on awhile back.
The Bruce-kid ones though...wow. Especially the ninth birthday and hide n' seek. This just makes me like the latest Detective comics flashback with Bruce and Zatanna.
Slade's were good, too. Bet you had his help on that, no?
If you never got to read it, the Justice League Unlimited Christmas special from December had a lot of woobie-Bruce kid moments. As seen by the Flash.
There's a scene where Wally is watching a flashback where Bruce is opening presents. And the kid's all "oh, a bike. Thanks. And you got me those art books I was looking at. Al, that's really...nice."
But he's so dull when he says it, and Wally's annoyed since most of these gifts are things most kids only dream of. Brucie's rich, after all.
But then Bruce opens a box and it's got the Grey Ghost (a fighter pilot action toy) and Brucie freaks out. He runs around shooting at things with his jet and "oh no, the Grey Ghost's mortal enemy is approaching!" and Wally's just O______O and Al smiles.
And then Bruce spins about and sees the huge portrait of his parents, and his face just falls.
Suddenly, the toy isn't fun anymore. Bruce politely repeats his gratitude to Alfred for the gift and says that he's going back to bed.

Just like that. Crash.
It was very sad.
